GENERATIONAL CURE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.”

— Frederick Douglas

Generational Cure’s mentorship program will mentor young men and women who are in need of role models and guidance.  We plan on building their self esteem, which will inspire them to become better for themselves and for society. There aren’t many positive influences or outlets for children in our society today.

Our services will provide an open opportunity to sit and speak with someone personally that genuinely cares about the student’s future. We will train and develop young men and women to access their leadership qualities that have been lying dormant within them and cultivate their imaginations to think outside of common athletic and stereotypical ideas that have been forced upon them by society and their environment.

As an organization, Generational Cure has earned a 93% approval rating from parent’s of our youth and stakeholders in the community.

OUR HISOTRY

The youth of Generational Cure and their parents were challenged to research unknown African Kings and Queens along with other details such as when and where they reigned, and what they were known for.

The purpose of this research project was to create a sense of self-worth within a world that creates a false narrative around the rich culture of African people.

Mentoring Sessions

Generational Cure’s approach is to have the parents involved in the entire process of building young leaders of tomorrow. It takes a village to build a better generation of youth. Let’s all work together toget the job done. As parents, our words are the foundation our children will build their future on. Speaking life into them with words of affirmations help them develop an understanding of who they’ll become in life.

Annual New School Year Vision Boards

Before every school year the youth of Generational Cure are challenged to make the honor roll or set goals for themselves to accomplish. Vision boards were created to help them focus on their goals. Three out of the five pictured above have since graduated high school and are pursuing post-secondary education and each of the remaining two are entering their sophomore and senior years of high school.
